Where to buy

The dominance of supermarkets and changing tastes in the nations diet and reliance of convenience foods has threatened local fishmongers, but there is hope.

The desire to know where your food comes from and to support local businesses is turning the tide and fishmongers are making a come back. Below are places in the East Riding of Yorkshire we can guarantee you'll be able to buy locally caught produce, also look out for local suppliers at markets and food festivals and if your supermarket has a fresh fish counter it's always worth asking if they have anything locally caught - if there's a demand any sharp-minded business will seek to supply it.
